Michael Pacitti has spent more than four decades in the custom picture framing and home decor industry—as a consultant, designer, educator, author, and industry specialist. His career has combined hands-on knowledge of framing with a deep interest in design history, period styles, moulding, color, and the visual relationship between artwork and frame.

Through years of teaching, trade shows, museum and gallery visits, international travel, and work with framing manufacturers and distributors, Michael has developed a practical approach to framing built around one central idea: better design begins with better understanding.

His work has taken him throughout North America and Europe, including extensive collaboration with Italian moulding manufacturers and framing professionals. That experience continues to shape his teaching, consulting, and writing today.
